Homemade Pumpkin Sauce for Pumpkin Spice Lattes

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup brown sugar
  2. 1/2 cup real pumpkin
  3. 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  4. 1/8 teaspoon cloves
  5. 1 heaping teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  6. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  7. 2 tablespoons caramel syrup
  8. 1/2 cup water
  9. Pinch of salt
  10. 2 tablespoons white chocolate sauce

Directions

  1. Start by adding 1 cup of brown sugar to a pot.
  2. Add 1/2 cup of real pumpkin to the pot.
  3. Add 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon.
  4. Add 1/8 teaspoon of cloves.
  5. Add 1 heaping teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice.
  6. Add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  7. Add 2 tablespoons of caramel syrup.
  8. Add 1/2 cup of water.
  9. Add a pinch of salt.
  10. Set the pot to medium-high heat and whisk until the mixture reaches a boil.
  11. Let it boil for about 30 seconds while stirring.
  12. Reduce the heat to low and add 2 tablespoons of white chocolate sauce.
  13. Simmer on low for about 2 minutes.
  14. Turn off the heat and let the sauce cool for 15 minutes.

Tips

Use about an ounce of this pumpkin sauce when making a pumpkin spice latte. Store the sauce in the fridge for up to a week. Make sure to use real pumpkin for the best flavor.
