Homemade Pumpkin Sauce for Pumpkin Spice Lattes
Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup real pumpkin
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon cloves
- 1 heaping teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons caramel syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons white chocolate sauce
Directions
- Start by adding 1 cup of brown sugar to a pot.
- Add 1/2 cup of real pumpkin to the pot.
- Add 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon.
- Add 1/8 teaspoon of cloves.
- Add 1 heaping teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Add 2 tablespoons of caramel syrup.
- Add 1/2 cup of water.
- Add a pinch of salt.
- Set the pot to medium-high heat and whisk until the mixture reaches a boil.
- Let it boil for about 30 seconds while stirring.
- Reduce the heat to low and add 2 tablespoons of white chocolate sauce.
- Simmer on low for about 2 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and let the sauce cool for 15 minutes.
